Installed in SUPER CUB (JA10)
The CUB is equipped with the OEM Grip heater, but the effect is felt in single digit temperatures I couldn't do it, so I decided to put the Handlebar Cover on because it was cold and hard on my fingertips
We compared and contrasted products from Konami, Yamamalto, and Large Osaka Textile Materials
The first point of comparison is Material
I use Neoprene work gloves for winter work, and they are effective in keeping me warm and waterproof I chose the Neoprene one over the PVC one because I realized it was there
The second point is the shape of the hand plugs
The Shield is fogged up by the exhale, so the Shield is raised and lowered at the signal, etc You will have to let go of the Handlebar more often than not Therefore, it should be easy to get your hands in and out If the insertion slot is squeezed, you can expect a thermal protection effect, but we give priority to making it easy to put your hand in and out Select the wide open type
Design, I thought the Konami made one was more stylish, but Large, which met the above criteria I chose the Handlebar Cover from Han Shizai Shizai
At the time of attachment, the hole which is vacant to pass Handlebar through looked like Small, but I installed I did and it was Exactly After that, it was easy to install it because I only have to tie it with a string
I immediately put on a pair of light leather gloves, put on a down jacket and turned on the Grip heater I went out to a SUPER in my neighborhood by
The temperature is 3 degrees
When you start running, you can feel the wind protection After a while, the Grip heater warms up, which is a nice touch
Even the sleeves of the Down jacket are placed inside the Handlebar Cover so that the mouth can be It is not cold even if it is open
It was exactly what I expected
In winter, no matter what kind of gloves you use, your fingers will get cold and it will be hard to hold a grip in a few minutes.
It would be better if you put on electric heaters or grip heaters, but they cost a lot of money and are a pain in the ass.
The Handlebar Cover is primitive, but it is very effective in preventing the wind from hitting it. It may be a bit cumbersome to install because it requires removing the mirror, but it is a good item to have.View Detail
I commute 40km to work and back and ride my Motorcycle everyday. That's over 10,000km a year just commuting.
Even in the suburbs of Tokyo, winter mornings can get as cold as 0°C. A Handlebar Cover is a winter necessity.
I think my Handlebar Cover history is about 15 years.
The Handlebar Cover I used was a Quantity:It's about 5pcs. eyes, so it's an imprecation from my experience so far.
Komine (the transparent window at the thumb deteriorates. The sunburn from the ultraviolet rays is terrible, and it becomes a disappointment in three years)
Yamamalt (for CUB only. The boa lining is warm, but doesn't dry out when it gets wet; it was solidly built for BUSINESS, but became stiff after 3 years)
Yamamalt (Quantity):2pc. (I did Repeat, but I switched Motorcycles after 1Season)
Large阪繊維材料 1pc. eyes (from BHC-01Vinyl leather. I like it very much, but it is out of stock, so Switch to another Material)
LargeHan Textile MaterialQuantity:2pc. Set eyes←this time
I really wanted to buy the ones made of Vinyl leather instead of Neoprene, but they were out of stock….
I liked the construction so much that I decided to go with the Neoprene version from the same manufacturer.
The previous Komine Handlebar Cover of the same material was badly tanned, so I'm prepared for this one to be the same.
It's a cheap one, so if it fades in 2-3 years, I guess it's disposable.
Let me preface this by saying that I am impressed with this product.
The entrance is not too narrow, so it is easy to insert and remove!
The price is cheap.
The outer dimensions are more compact.
Make a hole of about 15mm diameter at the position of the Bar End and insert the Bar end cap from the outside of the Cover to increase stability.
Using with Grip heater is really Recommendation!COTA ツ.
The blinker control part is made of soft material and gentle. (The coating on the surface will deteriorate in a year.)
There is no transparent window in the operation part. It is good that there is no transparent window. (Vinyl windows are hard and breakable, and I don't see them anyway, so they're useless)
When parking your bike on a rainy day, the angle of the Cover will help reduce flooding. It is inevitable that there will be some flooding.
Before a heavy rain or snowfall, you can avoid flooding by covering it with a Convenience bag. I almost never do it because it's too much trouble.
Summary:.
The cold in my hands is unbearable.
I can get used to being lame. Come on, you too!View Detail
I always install this on my commuter Scooter every winter.
I sometimes wonder if I should rely on modern civilization and buy a Grip heater or electric heating gloves, but this Cover is enough for the winter in Tokyo.
The construction is simple, so it is easy to put on and take off, and can be removed quickly when not needed or when wet with rain.
This is a great product for the price.View Detail
This is the first Handlebar Cover I have bought in my long history of motorcycling.
It's so comfortable and amazing, I feel like I can use my bare hands without getting cold because the wind doesn't get into my hands.
The Handlebar Cover itself doesn't look great, but I thought it would be a great choice for riding a motorcycle in the winter.View Detail
There are Heater Grips, Electric Gloves, etc., but my personal experience is that they are completely unnecessary if you have a Handlebar Cover.
This is because the wind will cause the heat in your hands to dissipate and your fingertips to freeze.
I think many people avoid the Handlebar Cover because of its appearance, but once it's on, you won't feel uncomfortable at all.
There are many types of Handlebar Covers from other manufacturers, but most of them have a narrow wrist opening. When you let go of the Handlebar at a traffic light and put your hand back into the Handlebar, it gets in the way. Especially, the Glove with Protection becomes a hindrance, and it is not possible to access the Handlebar immediately. For this reason, when waiting at a traffic light, it is necessary to return your hand to the Handlebar as soon as possible.
In this regard, this Handlebar Cover has a wide wrist opening and is not obtrusive.
On the other hand, it is not cold at all when I say that it is cold even if the wrist mouth is open.
I use this one on my Large type Motorcycle, although I have used others from other manufacturers.View Detail
