About quality and texture: I am happy with the quality of the super multi DN meter from SP Takegawa. Housing is made from plastic with a stainless steel edging as opposed to chrome on the OEM Honda meter and the display is a mix of analog and digital as opposed to just digital on the OEM Honda meter.About the feeling of use: This instrument gauge has every thing you could possibly want to display your Monkey 125 and I much prefer the look of the analog tachometer displayed when the motorcycle is turned off.Products to buy together: A SP Takegawa oil drain bolt would also be desirable to purchase alongside the super multi DN meter so you can display the engine oil temperature on the digital part of the display.Difficulty of installation: The process to install takes about 2 hours to install and setup. Remove the headlight and OEM Honda meter then position the switching wire, temperature wire and tachometer wire. Install the meter bracket followed by the meter and connect up all the wiring to the meter. Now follow the instructions on how to setup the meter. A little difficult to do.Cost performance and comparison with other products: Good costing as you are getting one hell of a instrument gauge that is able to display everything you could want on the Monkey 125 but the price is high as compared to the previous tachometer I was using from SP Takegawa that did a fantastic job but is missing a few features.About shipping and packaging: Sea frieght was my preferred method of shipping due to the lower cost but currently this service is unavailable from Japan Post, EMS is much faster which is nice. A compact unit that allows you to continue to use the OEM Honda speedometer.Products to buy together: The SP Takegawa engine drain bolt would also be desirable to purchase alongside the small DN tachometer kit so you are able to display the engine oil temperature from this location and should really be included in the kit.Difficulty of installation: The process to install takes about about two hours. The mounting bracket needs to be attached to the speedometer mounting point, the headlight bezel needs to be removed to access the electrical connectors, you needs to run wiring for the ignition and temperature signals and then mount the tachometer and connect the wiring. The RPM reading and the clock are my favourite features.* Products to buy together, This tachometer has the ability to display a temperature reading with the parts included in the kit but if you would like that temperature reading for the engine oil you will need to also purchase the SP Takegawa drain bolt which has a recess to secure the temperature sensor.* Difficulty of installation, The installation is quite involved with the running of wiring, disassembling the headlight to install the mounting bracket and connect the wiring and finally the setup procedure of the tachometer. The process was completed in 90 minutes with some difficultly.* Cost performance and comparison with other products, Not many options from other brands but SP Takegawa have a few different versions available now, all around the same price.
